Hire Optimax facilities for your private practice
Private Surgeon Access (PSA) provides a straightforward solution for ophthalmic surgeons looking for world class surgery rooms to treat their private patients without having to commit to long-term contracts or agreements.
The scheme is provided as a collaborative effort by Optimax & Ultralase and allows approved surgeons to make use of theatre space, consultation rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and staff for the treatment of their own patients, subject to terms agreed.
How to Join our PSA Scheme
Surgeons interested in Private Surgeon Access can begin the process by sending an expression of interest to our PSA Business Manager, Zena Kingswood at psa@optimax.co.uk
Please include the following with your submission:
Kindly provide us with an updated copy of your CV as well as your GMC registration details and 12 month log book. This allows us to ensure that practising privileges can be signed off by our medical advisory board. A contract will be made available for you to complete subject to board approval.
Training & Equipment
We have state-of-the-art equipment available to all surgeons (subject to location), please enquire about equipment in your expression of interest and we will be happy to inform you further on what will be available at your chosen clinic site. Ideally, you will have recent previous experience with the equipment available on site. If not, we may be able to facilitate training arrangements on your behalf upon request.
This is a service provided separately from the PSA scheme and as such, terms will apply. Further details on training pricing available upon request.
Booking our Facilities
You can request availability for the use of our facilities by contacting us at privatesurgeonbooking@optimax.co.uk
Our facilities can be booked for a half day (up to 4 hours) or full day (up to 8 hours). You can also book sessions at a minimum of 2 hour increments. We’ll do our best to find a booking date that works for you. Please bear in mind that if your desired date coincides with our own treatment activities, our sessions will be prioritised over yours. To avoid this, we recommend selecting a date with a clear diary schedule. If any additional instruments, consumables, equipment or lenses are needed by the surgeon, please send us a detailed request to confirm this at least 15 working days ahead of your confirmed booking date.
Our Partners
We are proud to work with a number of class-leading suppliers and equipment providers. We have the facility to provide you with ICL, Monofocal, Multifocal and EDOF lenses upon request.
