April 2022 marks 30 years since we performed our first laser eye surgery procedure at Optimax! You may not have heard, but our first patient was actually our founder and chairman, Russell Ambrose. He founded the company in response to the enthusiasm shown by London teaching hospitals about the amazing results of laser eye surgery. In fact, Optimax was one of the first private clinics to offer laser eye treatment, as well as being the first to introduce Intralase lasers for LASIK treatment.

Sophie is the clinic manager of our Reading clinic. She spends her days ensuring the smooth running of everything in the clinic, as well as helping our patients on their journey to clear vision.
